The 1982 XV920J was the Virago range's big-bore step up, taking the 750's chassis and cruiser looks and adding a 920 cc V-twin, shaft drive and adjustable air-assisted suspension. It also had adjustable handlebars and an electronic instrument display. Testers liked its low and mid-range pull but found the rear suspension firm.
